Chancellor Fariña, a veteran educator of nearly 50 years, will discuss her vision of bringing common sense solutions and a focus on rigorous educational standards and equity as she leads the nation’s largest school district. She will discuss New York City’s historic expansion of pre-kindergarten and Community Schools as well as the DOE’s new support structure that creates clear accountability to drive school improvement. The Chancellor will demonstrate how all these elements work together to build strong schools and strong communities.
