The School of Global Affairs and Public Policy (GAPP) upcoming Public Policy Lecture organized a public lecture with the keynote speaker Karen Abuzayd. Karen has been a Commissioner-General for the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNWRA) from June 28, 2005 to January 20, 2010 appointed by Kofi Annan. She worked for the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees for 19 years. Before that, Karen lectured in Political Science and Islamic Studies at Makerere University at Kampala, Uganda and at Juba University in Southern Sudan.
