Description
(May 18, 2012) Elazar Barkan puts history and memory in context with questions of redress and conflict resolution in his lecture, "Beyond Accountability: The Role of Historical Memory in Conflict Resolution." Then, Simon Glendinning uses a philosophical approach to examine the conditions of forgiveness in, "I Forgive You."
The Europe Center, with project partner the Van Leer Jerusalem Institute, hosted the major international conference at Stanford University, aimed to deepen our understanding of disputes over history, and to find ways towards resolving conflictual memory.
