This is a 7 minute documentary on caring for the elderly highlighting isolation and loneliness in Ireland. We documented the stories of two elderly women who are cared for, one carer and Anne Dempsey from Third Age Ireland.

A partnership between the Ministry of Social Solidarity’s Department of Peace Building and Social Cohesion, the United Nations Development Programme, UN Women and the European Union, Women, Peace and Security engaged in a wide variety of both modern and traditional activities designed to increase and strengthen women’s involvement in the country’s peacebuilding and nation building processes. 

One of these mechanisms was the use of Community Dialogue which is a valued method of both settling and preventing conflict.
This community dialogue helps to enhance the participation of Timorese women in peacebuilding and post-conflict planning.
